The USB data flash drive, the life line of any student. Floppy disk were once the craze, but flash drives are taking over. The portability, and durability of a flash drive is unmatched. since this it's such a wonderful, convenient device you need to know how to protect, it.
Let's start with internal protection, you want to keep all your documents safe right. When completing a document, make sure it totally saved on your computer. If saving a document from the web, make sure there are no viruses. Viruses can Potentially destroy your flash drive. What's the use of having a destroyed flash drive. Make absolutely sure, that you properly upload you USB device through the software wizard. Finally you want to make sure you properly eject your device. Property ejecting is important because, you could lose your file or damage your USB.
Now that we covered the internal, lets talk about the external. First you want to take care of your USB, it will not do you any good if it's broke. Make Sure you keep it in a safe Place, away from any potential damage. Also, you want to make sure to keep the metal end protected. If it comes with a little protective case, DON'T LOSE IT. These metal ends can easily be damaged, thus rendering the USB device useless. Watch out for theft, USB device are not cheap. keep it in a safe place, if it's in use don't walk away from it. This is definitely important, because if the documents are private and important you don't want them in the wrong hands. A USB device can be a wonderful thing, So follow these steps and your USB should last a while.
USB mass storage devices, in my opinion are life saving tech items. They save photos, papers, games and anything else you can think of. I standby my USB device, it helps me get my work done in a timely fashion. So if you still use floppy disk, throw them away. Go a buy a USB flash drive, my suggestion a one gig. Finally My article is done, better back this up on my Flash Drive. Because, I want to make sure that my data is saved. This is why these devices are so great, but you have to make sure that they are well taken care. so again make sure you protect, watch, and care for your flash drive.
