Mother Goddess and Father God
"Whenever the white people treat the Indian people as they treat each other, then we will have no more wars. We shall be all alike-Brothers and Sisters of one Father and one Mother, with one sky above us, and one country around us, and one government for all."
(Joseph [Hinmaton Yalakit] (1830-1904) Nez Perce chief)
These words of wisdom are from Native American Wisdom, one of the most tranquil of people. Natives worshiped the Earth, Sun, Moon, and the Universe. So much knowledge they knew just from listening to our Great Mother Goddess and Great Father God. I believe when these people meditated and concentrated they were in communion with the God and Goddess.
So many people just worship one All Male God thinking that he is the ultimate source of all creation. Being the Alpha and Omega in his energy. Rooting from male domination, where it simply was, war, politics, and religion. Some of these Deities were Jesus, Mohammed, Jehovah, God and by many other titles. I don't ever believe it was a great thought more than a great trick. What a way to continue the ways of male dominancy.
Others change the Christian and other male-oriented religions to fit the particular Era. The most common: A genderless being of energy that is just the universe, the Alpha and Omega, The Life Force. Even this does not make sense. Many people find it easy to fall prey to such a belief, and be brainwashed forever to believe that it is the only way to Deity. They were naive, or just simply forced to believe that an all male God or even a genderless being was there watching them. Giving them a set of instructions, and organized religious beliefs to keep them strictly in line. When, naturally all the time it is written in the universal language of the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, that all things are as they are. Creation is from two. Birth is from two. The life force, which is a part of us, comes directly from the Ancient Mother Goddess and Father God. In order for the Universe to exist, polarity was a must.
"Polarity- The concept of equal, opposite energies. The Eastern yin/yang is a perfect example. Yin is cold. Yang is Hot. Other examples of polarity: Goddess/God, Night/Day, Moon/Sun, Birth/Death, Dark/Light, Psychic Mind/Conscious Mind. Universal Balance."
(Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner, Scott Cunningham)
In the entire universe there is hot and cold, male and female, day and night, summer and winter, spring and fall.
