Now that the Super Bowl is over, the attention must immediately shift to the NFL draft. Every team rests its hopes for next year on the new players coming in. From the worst in the NFL Miami Dolphins, to the Super Bowl champion New York Giants, every team is now focusing on the future.
#1 Miami Dolphins: There's a lot of talk that GM Bill Parcells really likes QB Matt Ryan of Boston College, but I'm sticking with a DL choice, so for now I'm staying with DT Glen Dorsey.
#2 St. Louis Rams: While offensive line is still a big need, so OT Jake Long is still a good pick, it seems like DE Chris Long is shooting up the boards, so he's the new pick here.
#3 Atlanta Falcons: QB Matt Ryan is still the choice here. Atlanta desperately needs a quarterback, though if Miami does take Ryan, it's hard to see them taking Brohm. In that scenario they take Glen Dorsey or Chris Longwhichever one is available.
#4 Oakland Raiders: Man, this team is a mess. With Chris Long gone, and Al Davis looking for a flashy pick, RB Darren McFadden looks like a likely pick here, though if there's one team that's willing to pay to trade up, this is it.
#5 Kansas City Chiefs: There are a lot of needs on defense, but the offensive line is also a mess. While Coach Edwards has to be looking at defense, if OT Jake Long falls to them at this spot, he is too good to pass up.
#6 New York Jets: The Giants proved how important it is to have a dominant defensive line. That's why the Jets will reach for edge rusher OLB/DE Vernon Gholston to provide an immediate impact as a pass rusher.
#7 New England Patriots (from San Francisco 49ers): While they do have serious needs at LB, the last Super Bowl drive proved just how bad that secondary is. They need a cover corner, and if they can't trade down, then CB Leodis McKelvin is the most likely pick here, as he is currently the top ranked corner.
#8 Baltimore Ravens: While DT Sedrick Ellis is tempting, there isn't enough depth at quarterback to risk waiting. QB Brian Brohm is still the pick here.
#9 Cincinnati Bengals: It's all about defense, and DT Sedrick Ellis is a dream come true for the Bengals at pick #9.
#10 New Orleans Saints: The Saints have some of the worst starting CBs in the NFL, so CB Mike Jenkins is an easy pick right here.
#11 Buffalo Bills: Marv Levy wants a wide receiver, so take your guess as to which one. This time I'll guess WR DeSean Jackson gets the nod.
#12 Denver Broncos: Without a great pass
