Saving the children from religion.
I do not wish for you to agree on everything i say but to read it open-mindedly.
If you ask a human being, old enough to talk, 'what faith do you practice?' The chances are they will tell you the same one that their parents practice or practiced.
This is because we all grew up with our parents, whatever they said was right. If you were at school and your friend said that there is no God, then you would go home and ask your parents 'is this true?' They would reply if Muslim 'no, there is a God he is Allah' or if Christian 'no, there is a God and he sent his only son to die for us.' At this stage we have already accepted that what are parents say is true and so will believe this new piece of information about religion. This would be the beginning of someone's attitude toward religion.
If someone grew up going to the Mosque every Friday then why should you feel that there is something better to do than go to the Mosque?
If someone grew up going to the Church every Sunday then why should you feel that there is something better to do the Church?
If someone grew up going to the Synagogue every Sunday then why should you feel that there is something better to do the Synagogue?
However, some people do change their mind about religion but most people keep the views of their parents and then pass it done to their children creating the chain of religion. This is why we get a family of Christians or Muslims having roughly the same belief.
I normally refer to this as Zombification and I apologise if that term was offensive to anyone.
Zombification - when one follows what their parents believe because they have grown up in their territory of faith. One believes what their parents believe without ever making a choice, deciding what they believe in and unknowingly has no mind of their own contributing to why they believe a certain faith or religion.
So if a child is raised up in religion that child is going to be biased toward that religion whether they know it or not.
We all agree that everyone should be able to make up their own mind right? But it would be very hard for them to choose to have a religion (if so, which one?) or not.
We should keep children away from religion like sex until they are old enough to make a good choice of there own.
