Fruit good for you are bad? Well here are some fruit facts and myths. Lets start with the:

Apple- Apples are 25 percent air. Thats why they float. An average apples has 80 calories and is sodium free. The average apple provides 11% vitamin C. They provide 2% Calcium, Vitamin A and iron. Apples are a source of both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber such as pectin actually helps to prevent cholesterol buildup in the lining of blood vessel walls, thus reducing the incident of atherosclerosis and heart disease. The insoluble fiber in apples provides bulk in the intestinal tract, holding water to cleanse and move food quickly through the digestive system. eat 3 - 4 apples a day while working to clearing your acne. Apples are good for skin health. Eat at least 2 a day. Eat organic apples because you can eat the skins and most pectin is in the skin, which helps with constipation. Apples contain ascorbic acid, bioflavonoids, fiber, pectin, quercetin, minerals, and vitamins.

Bananas- There are 100 calories in a medium banana. 125 in a large. They contain 3% vitamin A, 33% vitamin C, 1% calcium and 3% iron. Banana help fight diarrhea. They also cure stomach ulcers. They keep hypertension at bay. A fine paste prepared by mashing a ripe banana has the unique property of treating burns and wounds. It even prevents scar formation. Being rich in powerful anti-oxidants, Vitamin C and A and element zinc, bananas help in boosting body's immune system, too. Low levels of iron cause lethargy and weakness. Iron deficiency is common among women and vegetarians. Being iron rich, bananas can easily combat iron deficiency.

Grapes- A study suggests that grapes may help people get a better night sleep. The juicy fruit might be packing melatonin, a sleep hormone. Grapes also can cure acne. Eating grapes may prevent the build up in arteries. Grapes may also prevent the growth of tumors. 1 cup of grapes contains 176 mg of potassium, 13 mg of calcium. 92 IU of vitamin A 307 mg. of vitamin C, 3.6 mcg of folate (great during preg.) and .1 mg of vitamin B6.

Strawberries- They contain lot of vitamin A and vitamin C. They contain potassium which is good for body growth and heart function. They contain calcium which is good for teeth and bones. Also manganese which does function in enzyme reactions concerning blood sugar, metabolism, and thyroid hormone function. Deficiency is rare in humans. They contain iron which can make you weak and in children have behavioral problems and copper which is good for suppling oxygen to the body.

Kiwi- This is a delicious fruit. This fruit is pretty with any dish. It contains copper, calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc. This fruit is good for growth, vision, immune system, wound healing, teeth and bones, and anemia. Over all this sweet fruit is good for the body and soul.

The myths about fruit are fruit goes bad in a couple of day. Why buy it? Actually all fruit can be stored up to to a couple of weeks if stored properly. Bananas should be stored on a dry clean surface to where strawberries should be washed with cold water and dried completely before putting into the refrigerator.

Fruit carry so many great nutritional values why not give it a try for you and your body!
