Blogging as a career

I have been blogging for two years now, and have made quite a bit of money from it. So, I can tell you that blogging can be a good money maker for you.

Many people have seen, or heard of blogs while browsing the world wide web. However, lots of people do not know that blogging can bring in a nice income. Many bloggers are even able to use their blog earnings as their primary source of income, earning more than $1000 per month.

The most popular way to earn money with your blog is to write online reviews. PayPerPost is where you can go to do this. PayPerPost is a service for both bloggers and advertisers. Advertisers pay bloggers to review their website, or services on their blog. This is a win/win situation for both the blogger and the advertiser, in that, the reviews provide permanent links to the advertisers site, which is a proven method for increasing site rankings in search engines. Not to mention the advertising that it will receive by those who are regular readers of the blog. Other paid review sites include Spnsored Reviews, Smorty, and LoudLaunch.

It is beneficial for bloggers, because they are being paid for these services. Not all blogs will receive the same payment. Of course, blogs with better statistics, higher traffic and ratings will be offered better writing opportunities with a higher payout. But if you keep at it long enough, you can easily improve your blogs statistics.

One great thing about these sites is that you are allowed to sign up and write for each of them on the same blog. There are, however, some general rules that your blog must meet in order to be accepted. They are basically the same for each place. First, your blog must be at least 90 days old, with a minimum of 20 posts. In addition, your content must be original, and posted in a neat and clear manner. Most places also require that the majority of your blog be written in English. You are also requred to have a ratio of about 1/3, of paid content to non-paid content on your blog.

Some people criticize this service, implying that it is a conflict of interest to get paid to write a review by the company that you are reviewing. Others argue that as long as that are giving their honest opinions, there is no conflict of interest. Howver, all this controversy hasn't stopped bloggers or advertisers from using these services, and as far as I can tell, paid reviews aren't going to slow down any time soon.
