- Bad Content. People fail to realise that Google is not concerned about the amount of traffic getting to your website but the content on it. Many sites turn up to have a majority of traffic that in the end does not convert to real clicks. If the content is really good your site will generate visitors over a period of time.
- Over-Placement of Ads. Some people are over-zealous in trying to get most out of ads placement on their site so as to "increase" the possibility of people clicking on the ads. This over-placement of ads actually serve to increase the irritating level to viewers to these sites and cause them to leave instead.

- No links to other sites of similar interest. Many so-called mini-adsense sites are actually stand-alone sites on their own. This makes it worst if their domain names are not generic type-ins, which makes access to it hard for people anyway, as they do not know of it in the first place.
- Ads, Ads, and just Plain Ads. Sites that have just plain ads and are almost bare, or have unrelated "high-paying" keywords.
- Give up. Quite a number of people fail to understand that adsense is not a quick get-rich scheme. They fail to commit hard work at working and experimenting with their sites, content and adsense. The slow process of building up to the payout level, combined with the high payout of USD100 have witnessed the giving up on the process halfway.
