Let us look back a couple of years back to the day where George W. Bush, the mastermind behind the so called "War on Terror" was standing on the dock of a navy carrier with a sign behind him saying "Mission Accomplished." What has happened since that day? Who is benefiting from this war and who is suffering?

First let us try and define what exactly is meant by the "War on Terror." Terrorism is defined as an act of voluntarily putting somebody or a group of people in a state of fear. Ideally, this would include all governments and organizations participating in any current war, including the United States. However, the movers and shakers of United States foreign policy hav decided that a terrorist will be anybody who opposes the will and demands of the United States; as president Bush so succinctly put it "you are either with us, or with the terrorists."

There is no doubt in mind and in the minds of others that the pretenses for this war in Iraq were misleading and completely false. This war was waged on Iraq the cover of accusations that Saddam Hussein was pursuing weapons of mass destruction and that he links with Al Qaeda. He was also accused of stealing and manipulating the oil for food program for his own benefits. The first two accusations were clearly revoked by a number of intelligence reports from a number of the war coalition countries. I will agree however that Saddam Hussein was a thief and did steal from the oil for food program; making him part of the global oil for food scam network which includes Cofi Anan's own son among many others.

After the accusations were revoked, the war's undertones slowly changed. U.S. politicians began labeling the war as a war to spread democracy and freedom. However, history shows that spreading freedom by means of war has never accomplished anything even remotely close to a victory. Nobody, no government has the right to impose a way of life on anybody else. One must always wonder, do these people really want a democratic system? Is there a real democracy existing anywhere in the world at the moment, nonetheless in Iraq? There will be no victory in Iraq, only more killing of innocent Iraqis and more stealing of their wealth their history while Americans and the U.S government continue to fulfill a false prophecy that one day the world will be one network of American ideals and "democracy." Whatever the reasons behind this war the bottom line is that as long there is occupation there will resistance.
