Managing Debt

How talking about debt helps find solutions

Help finding solutions for debt.

In my opinion the story of debt is not a story about making budget and controlling spending.

The story of debt is a story about being able to fulfill some basic necessities of life or a choice of watching your family suffer when at the moment you have a piece of plastic that will satisfy a need that's real.

With the constant cutbacks in jobs, and sending so many jobs to foreign countries,
very few average Americans working people do not know when they will be out of a
high paying out of a job.

Just as sure as insurance company can accurately predict the number of car accident
every year, I can say with a similar amount of certainty that people will lose job, develop
bad habits, get sick and numerous other conditions that depletes their cash reserves and
have to make a choice to watch themselves and their loved one suffer or use their credit cards.

Now when certain people use credit card they are doing it with the hope and dream in the
near future their financial situation will change.

They believe they will find a job, be successful in attaining business contracts or even
winning the lottery or some game of chance.

But living in the United States today in 2008, with rents, the cost of food, gas and insurance
being at record highs, two months with no way to make money will put the person in a so
deep of financial debt that bankruptcy or debt reconciliation will be their only escape.

The national debt situation in my opinion is not a creation of the average citizen, it is a situation that was allowed to happen by the federal government, and continue to be maintained by the big businesses that will do anything to make a profit.

To me the government is to blame because the cost of housing and food got so out of
control. The person who is blessed with government subsidies, housing is not a major worry;
but for the average American citizen to live in low income ghettos of the United States
to me would be a nightmare, so that is why certain people have to used their credit cards
to maintain a certain standard of living.

If big business can justify sending jobs overseas and discrimination against certain
groups like females, people over 40 and minorities, then American citizens should boycott them and find other ways to do business.

Without creating a law where the right to a decent house around the people of your choice
and the food you want to eat, the cycle of debt people experience will never end and only
get worse.

The only two solution I can find where people can prevent getting into to debt is to
(1) purchase the emergency insurance that credit cards offer to help in emergencies or
(2) get a job in recession proof industry like the police or sanitation engineer,
other than those or similar careers, it is not a matter of if your financial situation will change, it is only a matter of when.

No matter how deep in debt you are in, be grateful you are an American citizen because there
are laws that can help you, and if you do not die things will change for the better.
