ReviewStream.com is a website that allows you to write short reviews of anything you can think to write a review about. They are the only site that will pay you to review any product, location, job, or person you have ever had experience with. However, it isn't as simple as that.

Upon first going to Review Stream you find a website that isn't as well put together as it should be. It has been around a long time and has a great number of reviews, but it is set up much like a new blog from a new blogger. It's pages often mess up and it isn't easy to find what you are looking for.

Once you decide that you are going to write there you will quickly discover that it is a rare site that doesn't require you to set up an account. This seems okay at first, but on the other hand it doesn't offer you a profile page that you can advertise, nor do you have a statistics page of any sort. You don't know how many reviews you have published, how many people are looking at them, or voting for them (which is something you are supposed to be paid for after you reach $5).

This system is also bad if you don't know what e-mail address you used. While it seems lots of people have accidentally created two "accounts" by entering two different e-mail addresses, there is nothing Review Stream will do for you. They are hard to communicate with, but they provide a yahoo e-mail address with which to get a hold of them with.

The pay is based on the current rate. Right now that rate is $2, before it was $1.50. You get paid either the current rate or one fifth the current rate. More often then not it is one fifth the current rate. They send you an e-mail that includes the item you reviewed and how much they currently owe you. Getting paid 30-40 cents isn't too bad as long as you don't dilly dally on reviews, however in order to make payout you must reach $50. This takes a fare amount of time.

Having had some frustrating times with Review Stream I would assume that many of the reviews are not paid for. Some have accidents and create two accounts, making it take forever to reach payout. Others get frustrated and leave. After all if the current rate is $2 and you get paid the bulk rate for your reviews it would take 125 reviews to make it to $50. This is a very time consuming amount. However, it is said that they do pay (I am only at $20 having made the mistake of setting up two accounts).

You don't always get your e-mail. They blame this one the mail server, but from talking to others I would say it is probably their system. They really need to upgrade the way they do things. However, they have been around a long time (at least for being on the net) and they continue to keep on moving forward. In the five months I have been there, they have made no improvements on the site or the process.
