Quiet Love
Zephaniah 3:17 " The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing."

I find this so amazing. My heavenly Father, whom I can't physically touch, takes such delight in me, that He sings over me. How many people in your daily life are so happy to be with you, that they sing about it? For me, maybe my cats!

God is with us every moment we live. In those times that He may seem silent, it doesn't mean He is not there. He stays quiet, in order for us to begin trusting Him. His silence will only bring his voice to us with clarity when He does speak. If God spoke to us constantly we may stop hearing Him.

Our Father loves each of us so much; that He wishes to do whatever it takes to bring us home. We can live our lives kicking and screaming to have our way. Or we can surrender to His love and let Him quiet our restless soul.

Find a quiet place, without interruptions. Allow our Heavenly Father to enter your heart. Relax in the quietness of His love. Sit wrapped in His loving arms and enjoy His singing. Allow Him to water your thirsty soul.

I believe God wishes for us to share His love with those around us. He gave up His only Son to bear our sins that we may be forgiven. Abraham was asked to sacrifice Isaac. Sacrificing my own child is something I couldn't do. I don't have the strength to do that. But our Father did. Instead He lavishes us with His love and His grace. In those moments when you feel that no one else is there for you, your Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms. He will always have love to give to you. Only He can fill up those empty places in our lives. It isn't the people around us, because we aren't true to one another. In our sinful nature we will let those that reach out to us down.

My prayer for you is the peace and joy that trusting our Father can bring. His blessed assurance of an everlasting love is a gift that I want for you and for me.

Abba, I cry out to you. Come hold me and sing to me. Quiet my soul with your voice. You alone love me unconditionally. I long to feel your presence. I love you, Abba. Teach me to be more like you. Show me how to reach out to others and quiet their souls. Amen
