~Teach Compassion and How to be Compassionate~
Teaching compassion is something that can be established from birth. Children need to be taught how their actions and words can make another feel.
In a child's mind and immediate environment, it's easy for them to forget that a whole world exists. Teach your children how lucky they are, that people are much more unfortunate than them. Allow them to understand how some children do not get presents or kisses and hugs. You can do this by volunteering at hospitals, often donating to charity or visiting children in less fortunate positions than your own.
~Establish a belief in Themselves~
This would be the most important step in helping your child learn the qualities of integrity. They need to believe in themselves and the decisions they make in life.
Using positive reinforcement from very early on and you will see many positive acts formed in your children. They need to understand that failure is not failure, it's a learning experience and one they use to grow and better their selves.
Children who do not believe in their own talents do not respect themselves, so how do you expect them to respect others? Children and adults alike who have little belief in themselves tend to succumb to peer pressure easier. Teach your children to be leaders, not followers.
When you're a parent there are so many things that need to be taken into consideration. You need to know you are not raising children; you are raising the future adults and parents of the world.
