Nutrition for healthy skin

Who doesn't want to improve the look and condition of his or her skin? Tips that I've compiled from reading and speaking to a variety of experts include:

1. Drinking water. Some suggest that 8-10 glasses of water a day get your skin glowing.

2. Applying Vitamin E directly onto the skin. Apply the pure liquid form on your face and hands and/or add some to the bath. Bottles of Vitamin E are available in department, drug and health food stores (and Trader Joe's) for less than $10.00. You can even use Vitamin E capsules (the kind you take internally). Just pierce a capsule or two with a pin and you'll have plenty for your face and eye area. (This is an especially nice option for travel...less messy than the bottles).

3. Eating salmon on a regular basis. Many experts agree that something in the salmon fat is great for healthy-looking skin.

4. Drinking Green Tea.

5. Eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

6. Taking time to relax. Stress can wreak havoc on the skin.

7. Staying out of the sun, but getting lots of fresh air. Wear a hat!

8. Exercising on a regular basis.
