"Where can I take my non-skiing spouse, friend or significant other?" There's a simple answer to this question: Keystone Colorado. Aside from handing your credit card to your snow phobic companion and saying "Go forth and shop," Keystone offers an endless variety of off-slope activities. Even better, if you are staying at a Keystone lodging venue, you will receive the Adventure Passport, which entitles the user to discount and even free admission to an exciting array of activities. Here are just a few.
Actors and Puppets Live Theatre
While the repertory changes each season, on Saturday evenings, kids and kids at heart can enjoy performances of the Actors and Puppets live Theatre. These events take place at the Keystone Lodge, and are produced by the award-winning Lake Dillon Theatre, which has recently become an Equity only company. This means that only top quality actors are accepted for Lake Dillon's productions. Admission to the Actors and Puppets Live Theatre is free for Adventure Passport holders.
Jump, Jump, For My Love
Adventure Passport holders receive a $5 discount on trampoline bungee jumping. Experience the joy of getting 32 feet of big air the air on the quad bungee trampoline! Since weight limits max out at 200 pounds, you should probably convince your "huskier" friends to go on a diet before trying it out. If they enjoy it, you might want to tell them that skiing is probably easier and safer.
Oh Fudge!
On Thursday evenings, Adventure Passport holders are invited to a free fudge making demo, where they can sample the completed creation. Not recommended for folks who are close to 200 pounds, and are considering the bungee trampoline.
Hands on Winter Learning
The athletically challenged but geek-gifted might want to join the Keystone Science School staff for an educational walk in the mountains. They can experience Keystone's diverse winter ecosystems while exploring the complex properties of snow. Meet at the Keystone Science School parking lot. Admission is free for Adventure Passport holders.
