Although it can often seem cold and ugly, deep down, the world is a wonderful place. It is the land on which we exist. There are many reasons that a person could use to hate the world but they aren't thinking of the bigger picture. There are many things that I love about the world we live in.

I love the scenery. I like to view the countryside. I like to watch the deer play in my fields. I like the small waterfall that gently kisses the creek in my back yard. I love the fact that the raw beauty is there. I enjoy observing my surroundings.

I love the simple things. I like that air is still free, though it is debatable of the health hazard surrounding us when we breathe deep. I like the sunrise and the sunset and how one day so simply changes to another. I like fresh mowed grass in the summertime and the way sand squishes between my toes.

I love people. I may not agree with everyone's actions but in general, I enjoy the human race. I like to people watch and discover things about others. I love to meet new people. I like the idea of friends in far away places. I treasure my family and friends. They are the most important people of all.

I love freedom. I like being able to do what I want when I want. I know there are some limits within the laws but I don't break them. I like that I can be and do anything that I want. I love that I can be a big kid or a tight-laced soccer mom. It is all my choice.

I love words and thoughts. I love the idea of being able to express myself. It is great to be able to start a conversation or even a story with a single word. I like the way my imagination can create things I never dreamed possible. I like the sounds that words make when they turn into music. Words intrigue and excite me beyond description.

I love entertainment. I don't mean watching television. I don't observe, I do. I like being able to play a game of poker, ride a Harley, go fishing, or hit the trails on my four-wheeler. I like the idea of having something to do and activities to choose from.

I love humor. I like to see others smile. I enjoy watching them as their eyes light up. I like to see the way their face twinkles. I enjoy laughter. I love the sound of my son giggling. It is refreshing to find the lighter side of things.

I love food. I must admit, I like to eat. This world has plenty of food to offer. I can have a steak or a candy bar. I can eat at a restaurant or cook at home. I can eat a variety of things and not get burnt out on one item in particular. I just like the way food tastes. When prepared right, I enjoy a good meal that makes my tongue slap my brain wanting more.

I love money. I know this sounds greedy but by no means am I. I have never had much so, to me, money would be the cat's meow. I would be one of those people who would hit the lottery and have a stroke later that night. I have no luck and it wasn't meant for me to be rich but I can't deny liking the idea of it.

I love emotions. I hate to feel pain but I don't mind learning from it. I like that I can feel new things and it doesn't make me different. I like that others relate. More than anything, I enjoy happiness and being content. I enjoy waking to see another day and making more memories along the way. This is my world and I love it.
