Dating,no matter how old you are,can be a very exciting and trying time in anyone's life. These emotions become intensified when you meet someone that really tickles your fancy, that one person that you want to impress more than God himself because you think that he/she may be the chosen one. But how do you do this smoothly so that it is a fun and fancy free time for both of you? The following are a few things that I have learned along the way which may be of help to you.
1. Be yourself. This is quite possibly the most important rule there is to follow if you want drama free dating. The more honest about who you are right from the start, the less room there will be for trouble to transpire down the line. I think that most drama in today's relationships comes from the fact that one person or the other feels like the person they are with is not the person they originally met. All of these accusations can be squashed from the get go if you are you're genuine, wonderful self. If the person you are dying to impress likes the real you, then it's a win-win situation. If not, consider it their loss and move on down your drama free road.
2. Common interests. The one thing that you want to be sure of from the beginning is that you share a majority of common interests. This will prevent any future battles when it comes to dates and where to go or what to do. If he likes the rodeo and you like the club scene, then obviously you are worlds apart, especially if compromise isn't a possibility. This is also one of the biggest causes of drama and arguments that I have seen among many of my friends and that I myself have experienced in previous relationships. Remember, physical attraction only goes so far.
3. Gossip. Ladies, this is for you. The one thing that men HATE is the outside influence of a woman's friends in his relationship. Most men feel that what happens in his life is his business and not for the world to know. We as their girlfriends need to respect this and keep the talking to others at a minimum. Just ask yourself this question-"Do I bring this person into our bedroom with us at night?" If your answer is no (and I hope it is) then they don't need to know what goes on behind closed doors. Other people's opinions will do nothing but put useless thoughts into your mind and cause more drama than the daytime soap operas.
4. Life ambitions. It is always important to talk about what your personal goals are for yourselves. Maybe he's a proud man who wants to be the
