wrong.
SAFETY IN NUMBERS
It's also a common practice to limit exclusive pairing off among Christian teens. Teens are encouraged to date a variety of different friends and to go out on group dates rather than alone as a couple. Going out in groups makes it less likely that a couple will find themselves alone together and in a situation where temptation may get the better of them. Mistakes can happen, even with the best kids, and going out in groups is a great way to play it safe.
ABSTINENCE
One of the most well-known dating rules for Christian teens is sexual abstinence. There are varying ideas among groups over what forms of physical affection are appropriate before marriage, but for the most part Christian teens are admonished not to do anything that arouses sensations that have the potential to lead to sexual acts. This is not to say that sex is dirty or not normal. On the contrary, most Christians believe that a sexual relationship exclusively between a husband and a wife is part of a sacred and special union in the sight of God. Christian teens are encouraged not to jump into exclusive pairing off before courtship (dating with the intent of marriage) is a viable option. Sexual acts of any kind are generally not seen as appropriate behaviors before marriage. This is in an effort to protect against social ills such as illegitimate children, teen pregnancy, STD's, and the emotional and psychological problems that come from entering into multiple sexual relationships without commitment.
HAVE A PLAN
Another rule that acts as an effective safety measure is to always have a plan before going out on a date. Teens are more likely to be involved in idleness or trouble making when there is no thought taken as to what they plan to do once they're out together. There are no end of wholesome recreational activities that teens ca n participate in if they use their imaginations. Making home movies, cooking dinner together, scavenger hunts, service projects, sports, and board games are just a few options. Think outside the box and have fun!
PRAYER
Last, but not least, is the important rule to involve God in every aspect of life. Christian teens are often encouraged to pray individually and as a group to invite the Spirit of the Lord to be with them. Safety, guidance, and deliverance from temptation are some common requests made in prayers before social activities. When Christian teens go out as a group with the intent of doing God's will, things go much more smoothly and their lives are touched with peace.
