Although it seems like a lot longer, it has only been four years since The Apprentice became a global phenomenon. While there have been spin offs, Martha Stewarts The Apprentice, and the UK Apprentice starring Alan Sugar; the ultimate version of the show is in its original form with Donald Trump as judge and jury over potential apprentices.

Initially The Apprentice put 16 successful business entrepreneurs into a 16 week job interview, 8 men and 8 women not only enter into a battle of wits, but a battle of the sexes. The show exposed the most devious basics of the human soul. As each person fought for the job, some faced the battle fair and square, while others like the now infamous Omarosa took a bare knuckles outlook of things. As each season ends the successful surviving candidate becomes The Apprentice, the responsibility of The Apprentice is to run an arm of Donald Trumps successful business.

For four consecutive seasons The Apprentice scored, but come season five and things started to look a little shady. As one of Donald's closest aides Carolyn was fired (for becoming too media aware) he replaced her with his daughter Ivanka. Later in series six, long-time friend and companion George was replaced by Donald's son Donald Jr. But the biggest mistake came when in an attempt to revitalise the format, Donald moved the show to California (from New York) and tried to turn the show into combination of Big Brother and The Apprentice. It was not long before viewers voted with their remote controls and switched off. After 100 times of saying "You're Fired!" Donald Trump and his onetime most popular US TV show were shown the door, Donald was on the receiving end of the immortal term.

But never one to quit, Donald Trump returned his Apprentice to New York, putting the original format back together, sadly still with Ivanka and Donald Jr. Though. But this time what was different for this re-incarnated seventh series was that this time the Apprentice's were celebrities.

Nadia Comaneci - Olympic gymnast

Nely Galan - Independent television producer

Stephen Baldwin - Actor, Author, Producer and now church minister.

Jennie Finch - Softball champion

Gene Simmons - Rock star (Kiss), reality TV star, and entrepreneur

Vincent Pastore - Ex Soprano's star

Trace Adkins - Multi-Platinum selling country singer
