What Americans want in a presidential candidate

by Anon80

Is anybody else getting really tired of our presidential election process? Do we really have to listen to the candidates for all these months tell us what we want to hear? Do we have to listen to the arguments/debates. Hilary says one thing Barac says she's lying, it's getting really stupid! Here is how I interpret their speaches.

I, so and so, such and such (democrat/republican/whatever) am going to lower taxes as soon as I become president. (insert standing ovation here) I am then going to proceed to instantly eliminate the countries financial problems. (cheers and applause) Everyone will have health insurance. Gas prices will drop to 25 cents a gallon. I will pull out all the troops out of Iraq or do whatever will make everyone happy. I will guarantee that the stock market will instantly go up 200zillion points if I'm President. Terrorism will cease. There will be no more war. No more death, in fact I will heal all the ill and bring back the dead if you elect me as president. Blah blah blah.

What we need to hear is the truth. Our national debt is only going to get higher. Only the rich will be able to afford health insurance. The economy is only going to get worse. Gas prices are going to go up and up and our troops are going to be stuck in Iraq forever. Don't even get me started on education. (I'm not really this negative, just trying to get the point across.)

Is our election process really a part of what all the troops are dying for in Iraq? Is this really America? I want to know who I am suppose to vote for. Our troops are dying so we can vote but our election process is making voters completely blind as to who to vote for. I think I am going to go vote for the next president with my eyes closed. How can we find out what we really need to know about our future president instead of what they want to tell us for our vote? I don't have a clue, all I'm hearing is I will fix this I will change that and I'm really sick of it. Do Americans know what they want in a presidential candidate? The future candidates don't even know what they want or what they are really going to do to solve any of these problems. How do you feel about this mess? Anybody as confused as I am?

This has been indorsed by total confusion and lies.
