What better way to ensure you have all the essential nutrients your body needs than, a vegetable juice. Some of you may gag at the mere thought of drinking vegetable juice but, rest assured reality will bite when you discover how easy it is to become healthy, vibrant and energetic.
A juicing machine doing all the hard work of your digestive system, the waste on your garden, not in your body. How did those celebs achieve their pre-pregnancy shape. "They Juiced".
Freshly extracted veggie juice. Imagine sitting down to eat with four carrots, two apples, two sticks of celery, a raw beetroot, slice of lemon and cube of ginger on your plate, how long do you think it would take to finish? Juice it and all those vitamins and Minerals are zapping around in minutes, being absorbed rapidly.
Ingredients:
4 medium carrots.
2 medium apples.
2 sticks of celery.
Half cucumber.
1" slice of lemon.
Half inch slice of ginger.
Method:
Wash carrots and top and tail.
Wash apples.
Wash celery and break in half.
Peel cucumber and lemon if waxed.
Use ginger as it is.
Depending on the juicer you use, you may have to cut ingredients to fit chute. Use first setting for soft fruit and vegetable, second setting for hard e.g. carrot and apple.
Juice all ingredients, put your juice to one side whilst you swill machine parts under the tap, put pulp on your garden or wrap in newspaper and discard.
Place swilled parts in warm soapy water whilst you relax and drink your enzyme giving glass of nutrients.
A good tip is to chew your juice (swill around inside your mouth)which fools your digestive system into thinking you are giving it food not drink.
Nutrients start to break down within 20 minutes of being juiced, drink in this time span for total nourishment. You can freeze any juice left over, preferably in a bullet type flask.
Carrots.
Beta-carotene(Vi tamin A)- Vitamin K.
Apples.
Beta-carotene - Potassium - Vitamin C.
Celery.
Some Calcium - Folic Acid - Diuretic.
Cucumber.
Diuretic - Vitamin C - Beta-carotene.
Lemon.
Vitamin C - Fibre - Potassium.
Ginger.
Natural Antibiotic.
