Good morning... Oh my! Did someone forget to wash their face last night? What about applying toner? Acne cream? Anti wrinkle serum?! So many products so little time.
Selecting the right beauty products can be just as hard as selecting your life long partner. With so many choices on the market what is a girl, or guy to do?
Follow these steps to figure out what type of skin you have. Do you have oily, normal, acne prone, dry or a combination of any of these listed above? Break them down, its easy. If you have a shine to your face, even if you just washed it, you have oily skin. Acne prone falls under that category, however gender, lifestyle and age all play a sneaky role in that category. Does your face feel tight and stiff after washing? You have dry skin. The combination category means you can have any combo form above, dry all over but an oily T-zone; that's the forehead and nose area.
For an oily skin regime simply wash your face with a face cleanser designed to eliminate oil. This can also be used for acne prone skin, as most break outs are caused by blocked pores. Next apply a toner, which is used to strip the pores of more oil. If needed apply a acne cream all over. Any cream with acid will work fine. This can cause some drying so when not using the acne cream, try an oil free moisturizer.
If you have dry skin. Wash your face with a mild, non irritating soap that contains moisture, either vitamin E or aloe. A toner could help even out some discoloration due to peeling. Look for one designed for dry skin. A moisturizer is a must if you have dry skin. However, also look for one thats oil free, last thing you want is acne too.
Normal skin is by far the easiest to care for. Follow any regime you would like. Skip the toner unless you have some sort of skin discoloration.
After all this piled on your face there is the option of anti wrinkle serum; a serum with amino-peptide complex, depending on what company you choose to buy from, fills in the wrinkles and help your skin build more cells, causing the wrinkles to fill in.
To finish off, foundation, blush, bronzer, concealer. Mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow. Lipstick, gloss and liner. These products are designed to add color and cover any problem areas of your skin you wish to hide.
Whatever your skin type, time willing to spend on your face and amount of care your skin needs will depend on what products you should buy. Stay away and avoid the kiddie items that are cheap but also look cheap. Buy products designed for the type of skin you have, not the type you want, that goes for color too. If your pale, buy light foundation. If your tanner than normal in the summer, buy two foundations, one for winter and another for summer.
The simple steps you take to take care of your face will pay off in due time and you can go from Oh my to oh, hi!
