My Temple.
This is the spot
where I usually stand
and wonder about things not taught;
the facts unknown to man.
Like, why the sun is so hot
or why we are on this land?
Like, why we do things we should not
or why there are five fingers on my hand?
This is my spot
in which I pray each day
because I do things I should not,
but would like to live unafraid.
This is the location
where each day I sit waiting
with all dedication
and hopes that I won't be shaken.
This very spot
I call my body.
My temple given by God
and owned by nobody.
