When you get your initial gym membership, it's exciting and you often have many goals in mind. But then life's responsibilities arise and you find yourself having less and less time to go to the gym. Did you just throw away all that money?
First, set yourself a scheduled time each week to go to the gym. Make it an appointment in your busy schedule. You can schedule it for two days a week after work. Carry your gym clothes in your car so you don't have to return home.
Second, make a progress chart at home. Set realistic goals that you can easily track. An example is to do x number of miles on the treadmill at the gym. Seeing the goals will encourage you to get to the gym for your goals.
Third, think about how much it's costing for your gym membership. If you go once a month, your membership is very expensive. If you go twice a week or three times a week, it gets less expensive per visit. You are getting a good return on your investment.
Fourth, go in short visits. Instead of thinking you have to go for a four hour visit, go for one hour or an hour and half. You can go more often and get a more rounded workout instead of cramming all your gym time into one day.
Set realistic goals, visit regularly, set up an appointment time for yourself and have your clothes in your car will enable you to get the most out of your gym membership. You deserve the time for yourself. The healthier you get, the better you'll be for those around you! Happy exercising to you.
