Valentines day is fast approaching and everyone wants to give their sweet heart the perfect gift. That perfect gift doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. You can give the love of your life a great heart felt gift that won't break your piggy bank. Here are some great ideas for low cost Valentine's Day gifts.

Typing up a beautiful poem or heart felt letter is a great way to show someone just how much you care. If you want to write a note or letter and don't know quite what to say you can write about how you felt when you first met.

Giving someone you want to cuddle up with a DVD of a classic love story and a basket of goodies is a fun way to say that you want to spend more time with your someone special.

Movie tickets can be a great get away gift idea, especially if you have children at home. Call a grandparent, aunt, a trusted neighbor or even a babysitter. Enjoying a few hours out of the house with out the children might be just what you need to spark up your relationship.

I personal back massage from the person that you love can go a long way. A good gift idea is to get a small basket or gift bag and but a hand held massager, a candle or two in your partners favorite scent and a calming cd to listen to while you give your partner a massage that they will always remember.

Some times the way to a man's or woman's heart is through their stomach. Dimming the lights and putting some classical music on is the start to a night your loved one will never forget. Make your partners favorite dinner whether it is lasagna, steak or even something fun like nachos. Decorate the table with a table cloth or even with a flat sheet if you don't have a table cloth handy. Set a few cheap vanilla candles or flowers in the middle of the table and surprise your loved one with the perfect meal. After you finish eating you could even dare to ask your partner to dance.

For Christmas I gave my fiance a beautiful picture frame that didn't cost that much, I filled it with a picture that was taken of the two of us at Comerica Park. Going to Comerica Park for the first time was an amazing day for us, something that was special to both of us, so putting that picture in the frame was perfect for us. You could put a picture of you and your sweet heart in the frame. This would be a great gift for any holiday or just to say I love you.
