It's embarrassing when you are in a bank, thinking you are about to open a checking account, only to have the teller come back and say, "sorry we cannot open an account for you at this time." Many of us who have had this happen, always believe that we should be given a second chance. Now our prayers have been answered.

While there are plenty to choose from, you still have to do your homework as to which banks are right for your particular situation. Make sure that you can get all the benefits of a regular checking account with emphasis on receiving a routing number and account number. You can also check to see whether your local banks offer second chance accounts.
All of us at onetime or another make a decision we regret, we all fall down, some of us deserve a second chance to prove the first time was just an anomaly. It's nice to know that some banks are giving us the chance to do just that.
