Iran's threat is minimal as long as we have boots on the ground in their back yard. Clandestine operations plotting pin point cruise missile attacks are underway as we speak. Surgical B-1 strikes would be all over them like aliens from War of the Worlds. Nuclear subs are in so close on the firing shelf that they literally are shaking in their boots at the very thought.
Thats why Bush went into Iraq in the first place. Alot can and most likely will happen in the next two years so as there is no threat to fear any longer. The people of Iran are tired of the secular rule and are very western in thought. Bush understands that you let an enemy see you right in his face. Or in this case, his back yard.
Whether in the schoolyard or on the world stage, face your enemy and don't give him room to make a rash move. We've all seen the western where the old wise gunslinger walks in real close to the cocky kid looking for a fight. When he is right in his face, the kid thinks twice and usually bows out. If not, guess what the result is going to be.
