A look at the world's top oil exporting countries

Just a look at the world's top oil exporting countries {such as Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, and Venezuela}; and the question that some ask, why should we focus more of our efforts to become oil independent and discover more options for energy becomes evident. Take for instance; OPEC, this organization consists of five founding nations, organized in an era of uncertainty for our nation in 1960 yet proving to be an era of fore site for these five nations, in as much that even as early as 1960 countries such as Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and let's not forget Venezuela, could already see the growing consumption and sometimes wastefulness and misuse by Americans with this thing called oil, and having this fore site four Middle Eastern countries and Venezuela organized this organization knowing that today in the year 2008 they would be able to dictate the price of oil and manipulate American everyday life. Not as much the country as a whole but it's leader in general is the problem and his supporters that spread hate propaganda against the United States. Hugo Chauvez has publicly verbalized his hatred towards America and has exploited his elected position by turning it into a dictatorship and has also become a close friend to the president of Iran {both members of OPEC and both known haters of the United States and our interest abroad}. These oil wealthy nations are definitely not looking out for the American best interest; instead they seem to be more defiant and determined to tear us apart; one way or the other. Is this behavior of the
