I am deeply saddened by Mitt Romney's suspension of his candidacy. I find the media to be the equivalent of Junior High logic and ability to discern qualities of character. Mitt Romney is a financial genius, one of the few people who could have gotten us out of our financial ruin, and in case you haven't noticed this...the most popular guy in High School wasn't always the smartest in the class. Isn't this thinking. or lack of it, equated to mobb rule? We are a Republic, not a Democracy...otherwise America would have elected Britney Spears a few years ago.
It saddens me that our country is being led into believing the school yard bully will do more for us than a talented statesman. It saddens me that nobility of purpose and strength in economics has taken a back seat to calculated placement of a person who could lose to the Democrats...Senator McCain.
I had heard that Washington was afraid of Mitt Romney because of his integrity and intelligence. I believe it, the Washington machine much prefers McCain to Romney, so no they've won before the game was supposed to even begin...Congrats! to our foolish, gossiping media. Do you really find Obama capable of leading our forces in time of war? Do you really find his handling of finances strong enough to change our economy for the better? The Clintons are so beyond help...fortunately they are showing themselves for what some of us have known them to be all along.
We had a handsome, intelligent, financially astute leader, and he was bashed for his religion, and scrutinized to the point that he chose to stop the bleeding. Now we are stuck with McCain, his narrow little mind, his big temper, and his side-kick Huckabee.
If the media had planned the failure of the Republican party, they did a great job. Who in their right mind would want McCain for President? Sure, he deserves all the respect and honor afforded awar hero, but that doesn't make him Presidential material. A President is supposed to be a leader, and as an aging person myself, my nervous system isn't as tolerant as it once was. My point is that I do not want McCain throwing a temper tantrum with his finger so close to my disposal.
Do I want to vote for the Clinton machine? Absolutely not. Do I vote at all? I don't know anymore, which is why I'm saddened.
