Surveys can be Fun

I used to get quite a lot of surveys in the post. I enjoyed filling in these as it was interesting the questions asked and once filled in you learned about yourself and lifestyle. It was a good way to occupy the time and quite often by returning them you were in with a chance of winning a prize. Although none ever came my way.

Now however since being with the internet, the postal surveys have ceased and have been taken over more abundantly with surveys and research panels on line. So now I am in my element, with surveys on where I shop and what I buy, and what TV programmes I watch. Also looking at possible new products and the occasional try out samples. My views are sought after on politics and lifestyles, what I drink and what I eat. It gives a chance to have an opinion where once I never seemed to have. For these opinions you can get points which can be changed for high street vouchers or even cash and also the chance to win other prizes.

I find surveys a bit of fun but you have to watch as one or two ask a lot of questions then say you do not qualify for the survey and leave you high and dry. The good ones who do the same, at least give you points for your trouble, and enter you in a prize draw. One I sent packing as they asked stupid questions. Some I joined and then you never got any surveys, I suspect this is because of my age. I must admit I am always pleasantly surprised when a cheque arrives, as I was never sure if they were genuine.

Most surveys are 20 minutes to 30 minutes but you can get ones of 5 minutes or 40 minutes. Some of them have a community where you can join in and even write reviews and get paid in points or cash. Sometimes you can have a phone call asking you if you would answer a survey, but you can opt out of this if you want to.

There are other types of surveys, where you can meet in a group at a hotel and discuss a set theme and be paid. Or be a secret shopper and review on the service at particular shops, though I have not tried these. So surveys can be a good and productive pastime and gives a new insight into items on the market you had not thought about.
