If You Have Little Girly Girls, RV Camping is Best

I am a SAHM to 2 little girls and we love camping. We bought our first RV last year and found it was the best investment we ever made. When you have 2 little girls, 2 & 5, camping is best done semi high class. We purchased a 29 foot Jayco Jayflight after spending several weeks of daily research on which RV was best for our needs. The one that we finally settled on was actually one of the first ones that we looked at. The floor plan was set up so that we could put the girls in their room and close the door and have some peace and quiet while they played or watched a movie.

Now, I know that a lot of people think that RVing isn't camping and that is fine. We happen to think that with our girly girls, it is. You are afforded the ability to be able to take everything that they could ever want with you. For example, we will be planning a trip to Disney in the next year or so and we are going to stay at the campground on Disney property. By having the RV, we will be able to take anything with us, like I said before, as opposed to having to take only the necessities because we are flying or driving in a car.

If you think about the essentials that are needed for a 2 year old, you might agree. Diapers and baby wipes for a weeklong trip will take up one whole bag alone. Then you have to consider the fact that you need to keep the little ones entertained at times when you will not be out sight seeing or recreating. For instance, mealtime, when mom and dad may both be busy. I am usually preparing foods inside to be put on the grill and dad is busy preparing the grill for the things I am doing inside the RV. While we are busy, we can pop in a DVD movie and tell the girls that they need to have some quiet time and watch a movie or play calmly in their "room".

The other great thing is when you are ready to go out and do something; you don't have to be so concerned with cleaning up toys and securing them so that nothing is stolen or ruined because of weather. All you have to do is lock the door, just like at home.

My final argument for RV camping as opposed to tent camping is that we have our own bathroom. Now, most of the campgrounds that we have been to have very clean bathrooms and I would not have any problem taking my girls in them to bathe except for the fact that neither of my girls can stand to take a shower. Our camper has a nice kid size bathtub with a shower for mom and dad. It also, of course, has a toilet, a sink, and plenty of storage space for towels, linens, toiletries, diapers, baby wipes and more. So, things like brushing teeth and going potty are a piece of cake with the little ones.

There are many other great reasons for owning an RV other than making a trip with toddlers a breeze. Once you find the perfect RV that fits your family's particular needs and desires, you won't want to camp any other way. If you are on the fence about this topic, please consider my point of view before ruling it out. Semi high class campingthere's nothing else like it.
