What makes a great educator?

I taught adults within the IT environment from 1989 to 2003, please understand that I do not profess to be a great educator, but I do know what tools and personal qualities are required to make a great educator. Hopefully I will succeed in educating you on this subject. Should you have a desire to become an educator I can thoroughly recommend the profession to you.

Firstly I will give you the primary requirements that go to the making of an educator who wishes to wear the label 'great educator'

If both of these conditions can not be met, then it is best that anyone considering becoming an educator has a serious think about their vocational area, because these qualities are by far the most important first considerations for an educators role within any educational situation.

5) A good educator is also a good learner, there is much knowledge to be gained from student questions, not only of course for the student, but also the tutor who can learn much from analyzing the question, information that could be used to enhance further tutorial sessions etc.

The above five qualities have been satisfied, we have our good educator requirements, lets take a look at what the educators job role entails.

Firstly, education is a highly structured environment, it is founded upon much fore planning in the form of individual learning and lesson plans, which the educator may need to draw up for themselves if their subject matter is new to the teaching establishment, even so, in an environment where the subject
