She rises from her slumber
and begins her day,
going about her business
in her usual way.
Pain from the years,
and pain from the tears,
cross her mind nomore,
she left that life behind
forever more.

Somewhere far away,
in another world
A women wakes with a headache,
thinking of her girl.
Smoking, drugs and drinks,
rule the every way she thinks.
The pain of knowing
she can never again
see her daughter,
is leveled with help
of a bitter water.

But back at home
she's done her best,
not to think of the mom
who failed the test.

She lost her flesh and blood,
her first,
and can't even call
to say happy day of birth.
Two worlds so far apart,
still together in their hearts.
But for her that's not enough,
she wants to feel wanted,
wants to feel loved.

Through the years
they've grown distant,
they never speak
from lips content,
and hearts so twisted.
They've grown to live
their separate lives,
but still they hurt inside.
