Blondes: Do they really have more fun?

Do Blonds really have more fun?

My best gal pal and I were sitting at the kitchen table over our morning coffee. It just so happens, that Lara is a dirty-blond whose hair went through the transformations during her life from the palest of blond to the color it is today, a mixture of browns, reds, blonds and yes (eek!) grays. Being so close to blond however, those grays are only noticeable to her. I was eyeing her conspiratorially and she caught me staring. "What?" she asked in that oh-so-innocent way of hers. "Nothing, really, I was just sitting over here wondering if it was true that blonds have more fun. What do you think?"

"Well," She began, "It's certainly true that I've had a great deal of fun' in my life, especially those youthful years when I would go club hopping and dancing. I sure felt the center of attention. But to say it was my hair color solely seems unfair to the rest of me somehow. I was in great physical shape back then, I had these two ladies here (lifting her size 36D breasts at me) on that thin frame, and I dressed for attention when I went out. Oh, but fun I did have! And truth be told, I probably had much more fun than my friends. Does that answer your question?"
Hmm. Did it? I think not. Back in those same days (we have been dear friends for eternity, it seems) I went through my own wild phase too. I had my long locks cut off in a darling bob, dyed my hair a gorgeous henna (red), had bangs, a tan and it seemed to me that I too was the center of attention wherever I went and that I always had fun.
"Yes and no, Lara. It may be somewhat true that blonds do have more fun, but you know, I think those red-headed girls have a good time too. And to rule out those raven haired girls seems wrong somehow too. No, I think it's the exotic colors that matter. Not like me now with this drab brown color. I believe I've been inspired. I will go out and have it darkened a bit like those gorgeous ladies on Charmed. They are all brunettes and I cannot believe for a second that those beauties don't have any fun!"

In the next week I had a whole new attitude. When I met Lara for coffee at her place the following Wednesday, she commented on my new glow'. "It's the hair color. I've never been hit on so much in my life! Not even as a red-head in my heyday. This new style and color just seems to make me feel happier somehow."

THE MORAL OF THE STORY: HAPPINESS AND FUN ARE WHAT ONE MAKES OF IT, NOT THE COLOR OF THEIR HAIR. BY THE WAY, THIS AUTHOR IS A NATURAL BLOND!
