There is something about the Boston skyline glowing against the Harbor that makes the city unforgettable. Aside from taking that first memorable trip the top of the Prudential-college students want to see the city in ways that are fun and affordable! Boston has a lot of great locations where students can go out on a date, and see what the city has to offer. Here are four locations that are affordable and accessible.
647 Tremont St Boston, MA 02118. This bistro is small enough to feel familiar but the cuisine is exotic and adventurous. Here's what undergrad's say about the location.
Ben, 22, Junior, Northeastern University
"I took my date to Tremont 647, its over on the south end. It's nice place there's chandeliers in the front room and a polished silver bar. I ordered the steak-wood grilled-and served with fontina-stuffed, truffle-scented tater tots. She ordered the special-Tibetan dumplings."
Rachel, 20, Sophomore, Berklee College of Music
"The best date I ever went on was to Tremont 647. We went out to brunch wearing our pajamas. The food amazing, I had a blackberry crepe and Adam ordered lobster and grits. The entire wait staff was wearing sleepwear so it almost felt like Sunday morning breakfast back home."
Ryan, 19, Freshman, UMASS Boston
"If the weather is nice we usually have a picnic at the Harborwalk in South Boston. There's a beach-some nice walkways and benches. The landscape is really nice- I mean I think its the best view of the Harbor in the city."
Steven, 22, Senior, Boston University
"The best place to spend a quiet evening is Summit Avenue Park. It's a little spot at the top of Summit Avenue in Brighton. It's a nice quiet place you can go and relax. Watch the sunset. Where else can you watch the city from a distance."
Trisha, 20, Emerson College, says her best first date was at the Institute of Contemporary Art. "The museum was great. Its not artsy or boring. First off it overlooks the waterfront. It is a really cool building that juts out. The exhibits are off the wall! Psychedelic space worlds with puppet like creatures and mini versions of tvs, radios, etc. There's also a theater - so if you are feeling bored you can always watch a show."
