By the Sea
I took a walk along the shore,
And looked out toward the sea.
My mind could only think one thought,
It was of you and me.
I thought of all the happy times,
That we had shared before,
And then I had to face the facts,
That we aren't anymore.
I gazed out at the water,
So blue and crystal clear,
The gentle movement of the waves,
Was all that I could hear.
And soon, the sun began to set,
Upon the sea so blue,
And that is when I realized,
I'm nothing without you.
My tears they started falling,
They landed in the sea,
My future bleak and empty,
If there's no you and me.

Her fragrance lingers in the heat
