Believed to attract heavenly charms by commoners, and worn by clergy as a symbolization of Heaven. Australia, Madagascar, Thailand and Myanmar are where Sapphires are found today.
~October-Opal. The color changing Opal boasts fidelity, and confidence to those born in the month of October. Found in deposits from North America, Wales, Australia and Mexico, this gem is said to be good for the eyes, as well as a boost emotions and it also attracts a sharpening of the mind. Since it is so fragile, it has a bad reputation to be bad luck, unless you were born in October. Though historic lore boasts that it is unbelievably good luck because it holds all hues from the twelve birthstones, ensuring a bit of power from each.
~November-Topaz and Citrine. Alike in color and texture, Citrine is said to bring vitality and health, and is known as the "Healing quartz". It relaxes the body, allows the wearer to be lighthearted, hopeful, and encourages warmth and love. Lore has it that it has been said to be carried as a weapon against snake venom, and evil thoughts, and it cleanses the body of toxins. Most of the world's Citrine is found in Brazil.
~December-Blue Topaz. Utah's official state gemstone, is known for curing diseases as well as giving the wearer a pleasant disposition. Found in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Pakistan, Italy, Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States, the Blue Topaz alerts us to love and fidelity. It's luminous blue is mesmerizing to the eyes as well as soothing in nature for the soul. The icy blue also boasts patience in those that adorn it on their bodies.
Gemstones have been used throughout time and history for healing powers and beliefs, though skeptics often ruin the insinuation or lure. Birthstones have been given as gifts for newborns, on birthdays, and believe to be a factor in our daily lives. Given in gifts of jewelry, they can be found at most stores, and for a fraction of the high prices that can be found in more precious gems. The influence of the planets, and the moon also harmonize the ability of our gems to sway our lifestyles or our feelings. The fine line between the zodiacs and our birthstone and sign can all be combined to perform various natural healing techniques.
