Golf club grips are essential components of any golfer's golf club. A used golf club grip must snugly fit to the top of the club shaft. Once a beginner finds a grip that feels comfortable, they should change the grips on the remaining used clubs they have in their bag with the same size and design. A beginner that shuns testing for grips will find themselves with blisters on their hands before making the turn on their first nine holes.

Hybrid irons are a great addition to a beginner's golf bag. They are a combination of an iron and a wood club head. Once again, the concept of a hybrid is to use more weight which gives the club head more power on impact.

Golf is a frustrating game for even the great professionals, Tiger Woods included. For a beginner, golf is a maddening ball seeking foray into bushes, ponds and other fairways.
