Feminism is not outdated. In a civilized society, a democratic society, the concept of equality prevails. The struggle is to move the concept into working reality. The ways and means of some of the feminist movement activities have certainly changed. There is more strategic planning to secure economic, social, and political support. In some cases the rumble in the jungle is more subdued but no less powerful.

What is very interesting about the feminist concepts is that it has brought about the masculinity dilemma. Women are very clear about where they stand and what their entitlements should be. The most unsettling part is that it tears at the solid fabric of what males were taught. It leaves the definition of masculinity strangely impaired. In what position does the "master of the universe" idea insert itself?

Since the idea is out there everyone has to look at it. Everyone has some accountability and responsibility for it. Now, how does one work it? All aspects of our lives are affected. The theme runs through the workplace, marriages and dating relationships, child rearing, religion, politics. and our general world image. Attitudes and mandated behavior are in constant conflict.

This presents a continual trade off of power. The divisions raise havoc as well as provide foundations for living. Sometimes the distances created between feminist and masculine values are to the detriment of sanity. More developed awareness and skills are needed to understand the difference in the application of these conceptual ideas on a personal level with respect to the legal ramifications.

Feminism is not going anywhere. The thrust for equality in any group will always remain. The fair distribution of our entitlements is basic to our humanity. Why should women settle for less? The folly if the masculine sector is over. It is long past due for them to be gin to take responsibility for and to eliminate the antiquated ideas that are perpetuated in society. The masculine lenses must change. A redefinition is in order. On your side, the power is in the giving not the taking.
