Witchcraft and the Internet

it is green and dried and may resemble marijuana but is in no way used for such purposes.

Not having a church to go to in times of trouble, not knowing anyone else in your town who is pagan, not knowing what legal protections a pagan has can all be a trifling scary. The threat that children might be taken away due to religious practices, jobs might not be secured, differential treatment might occur all because of a choice of religion is not something a person should have to live with. Freedom of Religion is one of Americans Rights but it seems as if that statement mainly means "freedom of religion as long as that religion doesn't divert from a mono-theistic or Abrahamic religion." Turning to the internet may be a person's last hope. Some wonderful sites for support are Pagan Pride (www.paganpride.org), Circle Sanctuary (www.circlesanctuary.org), Military Pagan (www.milpagan.org), and Pagan Parenting (www.paganparenting.com).

Anoth er great way that the internet can benefit those who practice witchcraft is the opportunity to write and post articles that allow pagan topics. Those who practice witchcraft can freely write and post without worry about being rejected under the guise of "editing" or "not suited for our purposes" when in truth it is due to the subject matter. I have never had an article rejected due to it being of pagan content. Obviously, Helium (www.helium.com) is an excellent site for pagan articles. Another excellent site is Associated Content (www.associatedcontent.com). Many of the other sites already mentioned also will allow story or article submissions. Articles help other pagans to learn and possibly may even help non-pagans learn a little bit about paganism and witchcraft and change their viewpoints or dispel the stereotypes related to this lifestyle.

The internet and witchcraft go hand in hand and without the internet witchcraft and paganism might still be in the dark ages, a secret society, instead of open and more accepted then it has been in modern times.
