Sometimes...
Sometimes in a smile there is a hint of the truth,
Sometimes there are lies behind sharp teeth.
Sometimes in a memory beauty shows its face,
Sometimes hiding a mask of haste.
Sometimes paths are taken, to pastures green and fresh,
Sometimes flames scorch the grass and air.
Sometimes there is a love inside a broken heart,
Sometimes that love turns to hard stone.
Sometimes what was, will always be,
Sometimes it never was.

beating hearts with
no compassion.

Her fragrance lingers in the heat
What chance that we again should meet
On distant shores
