Recipes: Breakfasts for those on the go

Getting kids up in the morning, getting breakfast in them, and getting them off to school has long been a trying process for parents. My sister discovered this fast but nutritious breakfast treat while working for an appliance company demonstrating microwave ovens.

Breadsticks (the hard kind from the salad section of your supermarket). I use Alessi brand.
Thin Sliced Bacon
Grated Parmesan Cheese

Wrap the bacon around the breadsticks in a spiral to cover the length of the breadstick. Place on paper towel covered, microwave safe plate. Cover with another layer of paper towels. Microwave on high for approximately 3 minutes or until bacon is done. Remove to clean plate and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

If you're running late in the mornings, these can easily be grabbed and taken in the car on the bus and eaten on the way to school!
