After all this time, we finally get conclusive proof that Van der sloot was a least a part of Natalee's death regardless whether he did so intentionally or by being reckless. The bottom line is that someone is responsible, and with his confession, there can be no doubt that he was involved in such a way that he must serve time for any charges that can be mustered against him.
His arrogance and cocky attitude speaks volumes for his mistake by confessing to her disappearance to a trusted friend, or so he thought. Kudos to the person who set him up for this, as I am sure his conscience would not allow him to continue to know or suspect that Van der sloot was involved without bringing to the attention of the public and the police.
The roadblock for officials to bring charges clearly stem from his fathers influence in such a way that true justice may be hard to come by. However, the citizens care about the reputation they have gained because of shoddy police work, and politics. This should in the least force the so-called judge who refuses to arrest him to act on this case no matter how much pressure he may be getting to look the other way.
Justice will and should prevail if things are to get back to normal, and it is quite possible that the mystery person who allegedly helped dump the body could be the father himself. For whatever reason they decided to dump her into the ocean like a used rag, there can be no excuse for it, and now that we have this confession, we can be sure that due process will net this lowly coward his time in a place where parties will be just a memory.
God bless the parents who never gave up, and had complete faith that the facts will surface one day, and if it were not for their relentless efforts to bring justice for their daughter's death, poor Natalee would have just been another unsolved murder that would have found itself on the shelf with other unsolved murders.
I sincerely hope that we can bring pressure on these officials to do what is right by Natalie, and her parents as well, for the least of which could bring closure for all concerned.
