they are not. This would indicate a leftist view but this view should be held by the right because the media is; part of the national defense of the country; public airwaves require equal time, public broadcasting is paid for by advertisements no one is required to watch, the government should educate the people as a fundamental force in policing itself. The sin of ommision is just as great as the sin of commission since liberty is self-evident and required in our system as a mechanism for growth in economy and growth of the public, growth of the person into self-actualization.
The ultimate solution to problems with money lie in the fact that the public by and large is not educated to be business savvy. Education is the key component in the life of anyone who wishes to take responsibility for their actions. Empowerment is the key, but many politicians scoff at high ideals. The ideal of empowerment is a fearsome thing to those in power. If they only educate people just enough to do their jobs then they accomplished much. True education is the education of the facility to reason. This is far greater a tool than rote learning. The educated mind discerns the intentions of the politicians and is not susceptible to fear tactics.
The far right wishes they could stop the crisis by cutting taxes. This paltry sum will do nothing since it cannot help pay off the interest that is accumulated from bad spending habits. This seems like a conservative move, but not conservative at all. Conservative thinking entails the use of limited government and the loosening of regulations to stimulate the economy.
John McCain wishes to stay in an illegal war not ratified or justified by any legal arguments. He lied about this fact on the campaign trail. He lied about other peoples voting records and what they did in office. The people will not do well if they wish for McCain in office. Telling lies to gain the office of the presidency is like lying on a job application. When the boss fires him he'll say he's union. We call it grifting and it's contemptible. John McCain is also in poor health and seems to exhibit profound confusion. He does not care for the right since he voted for tax increases. The Candidate that did not vote for tax increases is not the most charming but he's very sharp and fluid. Ron Paul is a profound candidate, but lacks the appeal of the masses. What a shame that a man of his stature can be outwitted by a dimwitted appeal to fear; War for 100 years.
