Everyone is in an uproar about a man running for president, also yes he is black, but that should not be the reason that people continue to gang up on Oprah. There is much to consider when it comes to electing a sitting president. For instance, people seem to forget that not long ago, there was a chance for a previous president named Clinton to capture Bin Laden, and he admitted many times that he missed his opportunity not once, but twice.
Not to mention all the controversy with him in office, come on. Do you really think that we need more of the same. Will Hillary have the tenacity to compel the Military to do what some say may be the ultimate in power. Can she pull it off? There are no facts, nor statistics to show that she can. We are living in very uncertain times and we need to pull together for the world is watching us on a daily basis and we are still bickering over the "race card".
There are so many problems to deal with and although many women feel that this is the time to elect a woman, may be out of emotion. As a woman, I feel that we should look at this in a more pragmatic and diplomatic manner, and not subject ourselves to what we think. WE SHOULD KNOW. It is time for a fresh start and there should be no more of the same. Everyday the stock market makes progress on a new day, why can't we? We always seem to fall back on what seems familiar. Change is not something most people are comfortable with. But we change our clothes daily, our direction of travel, our dating habits, our financial profiles, but we can't seem to understand that for once in a lifetime we need to step forward and embrace someone who may make a difference in our lives.
How can a country move forward if we are looking backward. Remember, those who do not remember the past, are doomed to repeat it. This is truly a person's right to select the person they feel will do this country some good, and everyone is entitled to select to elect the person they feel serves their need or needs. No one has the right to tell another person what they should or should not do, isn't that part of the constitution. The right to free assemble.
