For some, love is not the easiest thing to find. It seems like you've searched and searched for Mr/Ms. Right, but it doesn't seem like you'll ever find your soul mate.So your next option is the internet. With all those online personals out there, it can be pretty difficult to separate the real from the phony. Even with this, there are some precautions you can take to increase your chances of success and see who is for real.

First of all, there are times when you can tell what the person's intention is by what they say. If they tell you how 'sexy' you are or ask you such things like what you are wearing or other personal questions, then they are most likely not very interested in a serious relationship so unless you aren't looking for something serious either, it would probably be best not to look much into that person. Of course if they ask for money, that would also be pretty obvious that they aren't exactly who they say they are and that they're not interested in any sort of relationship.

Look at the photo they have. If it is a picture of a guy who looks like a body builder or a girl who appears to be a model then you might have to put it into consideration if that is really what they look like. It would probably be best to look into people with more than one photo of themselves, though that is not always the case. Also, if the picture looks torn or there is something about it that makes you doubt its authenticity, then it would be best to skip over that profile.

Another thing to watch out for is someone who seems to be rushing into it. Again, if you aren't looking into a serious relationship this probably shouldn't apply to you, but this also ties into what their intentions could be. Someone who immediately asks for your phone number or asks you to meet him/her somewhere is usually not a person who should be considered in your search for Mr. or Ms. Right. They should be taking time to get to know you first and find out what you have to say, since if they were really serious they would want to be sure that you were for real, too.

It is very important to be cautious when you are surfing through those personals on the internet. Watch out for anything suspicious and go with your gut if something just doesn't seem right. I myself met my boyfriend of five months over the internet, but I have had plenty of experience with guys who weren't exactly the best choices for me and even some who scared me to the point where I had to change my email address. So safety should be your top priority when searching. The site name should also match what you are looking for. There are religious or other sites out there for people who are looking for a specific type of person.

Knowing what you want is the most important key to finding the partner you've longed for so long.
