He runs through the streets all alone
No coat around his little arms
Hair a mess with a dirty face
She stops and stares, then looks away
She heads to work just the same
Not wanting to get involved
Sure someone else will make that call
He runs through the streets all alone
No one to hold his little hand

You see that bruise there on his face
You feel your heart skip a beat
Who could harm a kid so sweet
Shaking your head you pick up the classified
Not wanting to get involved

He runs through the streets all alone
No one there to hold his little hand
