do we see happening? A women annoints Jesus' feet with spikenard and wipes them with her hair. Hmmm. The same story is related in John 11:1-2, where the woman is named as none other than - you guessed it - Mary Magdalene herself (actually it says Mary of Bethany but even the Catholic church admits they are the same woman). And he goes on to say that Mary did this again ( =second wedding) in a later ceremony at Bethany.
Jesus later said (Mark 14:9) "Verily I say unto you, wheresover this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her". So Jesus wanted this women mentioned every time anyone preached his teachings. I'd say that made her fairly important to him.
The gospel of Phillip (which the church didn't like enough to include in the NT) speaks openly of Jesus' love for Mary:
Quote:
And the companion of the saviour is Mary Magdalane. But Christ loved her more than all the disciples, and used to kiss her often on the mouth. The rest of the disciples were offended by it and expressed disapproval. They said unto him, Why do you love her more than all of us?... Great is the mystery of marriage - for without it the world would not have existed. Now the existence of the world depends on man, and the existence of man on marriage
So that's the first and second royal wedding without a doubt. But remember that the second wedding only occurs if the bride is pregnant!
The NT actually gives the information away that proves he married and had children, if you know what you're reading. The early church fathers did not, which is why so much of it fortunately sailed through their editing process. What editing process?
Well, for example, Bishop Clement of Alexandria (c. AD150-215) once wrote a letter that was recently discovered and included with it was an unknown section of the book of Mark. The letter read:
Quote:
For even if they should say something true, one who loves Truth should not, even so, agree with them. For not all true things are the Truth; nor should that truth which seems true according to human opinions be preferred to the true Truth - that according to the faith.
- SNIP -
To them one must never give way; nor, when they put forward their falsifications, should one concede that the secret gospel is by Mark - but should deny it on oath. For not all true things are to be said to all men.
Hope that provides some food for thought.

I'm really finding it so very funny how much publicity the catholic church has generated for the Da Vinci Code movie free
Would it really be a problem if Jesus had been married and fathered children? Why do people find this claim so shocking?
I would think that if this were so. That it would be in the Bible telling us so. If we believe that the scriptures are written
The simple answer to this question is no. Jesus was not married to Mary Magdalene or anyone else. One problem with this
