ODE TO HOUSE BUYERS
We put our house on the market
While leaves were on the trees
We managed to get a buyer
Who was very keen to please
Pretty pissed at the price
But oh! What the hell
Needs must I suppose
We really had to sell
That was in October
We hadn't changed the clocks
It was still considered summer
Kids still ran amok
Now we're in December
and the deal still isn't done
It's only been six weeks
But Christmas is to come
Till the money comes in
We haven't got a dime
Daughter's birthday Tuesday
It really is a crime
The bank are being awkward
They just aint playing ball
Will we use them next year?
Nah, not at all!
For now Christmas is on hold
Not a lot can be done
But it's getting very tight now
And it really isn't fun!
