There's an abundance of listings that include children's birthday giveaways, as well as special offers for adult birthdays. If your favorite restaurants are not listed on any of those sites, then ask. There's really nothing wrong with asking, especially if you do so ahead of time. Some restaurants require advance notice, or a coupon for redeeming the birthday freebie.

Caution- be forewarned - sometimes these birthdays freebies come with strings attached. There was the time I had to wear a sombrero, the size of a large round dining room table, and be serenaded by a Mara-chi band for my free chicken enchiladas...
