Sharing job experiences and recommendations

by Tn Fr0g

I work as a CNA. If you do not know what that is it is a Certified NURSING Assistant. Yes I love my job , although it does have its draw backs. Sometimes you just feel that there is not enough of you to go around. Sometimes you feel that you are not appreciated. Sometimes you feel that you are the only person that can help someone. This job drains alot out of you. You have to be a special type of person to do this job. If you like people and want to help them but cant stand the thought of anyone being alone when they die this is for you. I think it takes a special person to do this job , it is NOT for everyone. It is not all glory if you go into it thinking that you will be very disappointed. My wish for this field of work WE NEED MORE GOOD PEOPLE TO HELP US, NOT MORE NURSES TO PUT US DOWN!

WE ARE THE BACKBONE OF THIS INDUSTRY AND WE NEED TO BE TREATED AS SUCH. If any of you nurses read this PLEASE know that we are with them more than you are and we KNOW what they need and IF something is wrong. PLEASE DO NOT DISMISS what we have to say. That is my only problem with this field of work. We are at the bottom of the ladder but we work the hardest and know these people and we are told that we dont have any idea of what we are talking about. If you go back about 30 years ago think of what an LPN was? POINT PROVEN!
